How to get rid of a double chin: the causes and the solutions

There are three things that contribute to the build up of excess fat under one's jaws, or the double chin. These are, well, the stored up body fat itself, human anatomy, and of course the passage of time. In this article, we cover the causes of a double chin build up, as well as how to get rid of a double chin.
What remains to be the leading cause of double chin is still fat deposits. Your chin, specifically, the tissues under it, simply tend to amass a lot of fat.
How come fat is left to build up in that area? Well, the usual reason for this is lack of physical activity. Your body is not burning the stored fat under you chin and so it just stays there, accumulating more fat as you continue to take in more foods high in calorie. This is a hint: an eating plan with low calories and high fiber coupled with a consistent workout plan means weight loss. It means a reduction in your double chin. This is basically how to get rid of a double chin: work out and diet.
Another contributing cause to double chin build up is the posture of your head. If you keep pulling in your chin for long periods while working away at a computer or when watching TV, the muscles tend to stay that way: un-stretched. Try sticking out your chin and massaging with your thumb and index finger the areas under your chin that is stretched when you stick out your chin forward. Those are the muscles that need to be worked out.
Another exercise for the chin is open-mouth chewing. This is not intended to be silly, even though it may look that way. You can stand up straight or just sit straight on a chair. Lean forward a little, stick out your chin, and open your mouth wide, feel the tension of muscles under your chin. Close you mouth and repeat the "chewing."
